Re-Opening 9th November – Important Details

We’re excited to re-open Monday 9th November 2020

The team have been working hard over the last few weeks getting everything in place for the re-opening. Our main priority is the health and safety of all our Members and also that we adhere to the guidelines set out by the local authorities and the government.

Please make sure you read the guidance and details below so you are aware of how you can safely use our gym and classes.

Class/ Gym Booking System

You’ll be able to book classes and gym sessions from 6pm – Sunday 8th November.

General Rules

  • Please do not come to the gym if you are feeling unwell
  • Please wear a face covering at all times (apart from when you are training)
  • Please social distance at all times – 2m apart
  • All members must pre-book classes via the App
  • No more than 3 people in the changing room at any one time. Face covering must be worn
  • Please ensure you clean down each piece of equipment and put away after use
  • Gym Sessions must be pre-booked via the App (same way as classes)
  • Please do not move any machines or equipment


  • All members MUST pre-book classes via the App
  • Please do not pre-book two classes (one after another)
  • As class numbers are limited this is to ensure everyone has the option to book a class

New Class & Zones Areas

  • We have now split the upstairs class area into 3 separate training zones
  • Each training zone will have a maximum of 15 people
  • So in theory there could be 45 people upstairs safely training (15 per zone)
  • Each training zone is basically a separate class and you pre-book via the App
  • For example – 5am Monday you can choose from 3 classes to book
  • There’s a one way system going up and you’ll enter into the correct zone
  • All class equipment will be thoroughly cleaned between sessions
  • Extra time will be allowed in between classes for cleaning
  • You will leave via the back exit door, down the stairs and around the side to the car park

Gym Session

  • If you are planning to train between 5am – 9am or 4pm – close you now MUST pre-book via App
  • From 9am – 4pm you are not required to pre-book
  • If you are spotting, you MUST wear your mask

Can’t thank you guys enough for the Facebook lives in lockdown!! Made me remember how much I enjoyed fitness and got my mojo back!!
Got me back in a routine and kept my body and mind sane during a strange time! When gyms got the go ahead you guys worked effortlessly to create an awesome environment, I joined before lockdown I was nervous yet the welcome was so easy!! Todd and Carl are so down to earth and are always on hand for advice about training or just a chat! There genuinely are no egos, no judgements and the classes make you put the work in to get maximum results! Times and length means I’ve been able to maintain intense training around full time work and being mum! The fact you guys accommodate children is amazing and they love coming and being made to feel welcome too (even joining in). I was very anxious starting Mainway but from the very first class Carl made sure me and my friends knew what to do and made an effort to keep checking on us.
Carl is a very warm person and you can see his personality creates the welcoming atmosphere that surrounds Mainway as everyone bounces off of him. All the instructors are friendly and push you hard in each class, but also helping you along the way. If you get stuck and don’t know what to do, all the established members will also help you out and spend time showing you what to do if an instructor is with someone else. I have never been able to stick to any kind of fitness routine and over the years I have tried a few different gyms and classes and only ended up attending a few times and given up. The Mainway family really make you feel at home and I’ve loved every second of my fitness journey so far this year. Thanks to all the support from the team, I have lost 1st 8lb in 4 1/2 months and I am now the lightest I have been in 13 years.

Just wanted to say how unbelievably grateful I am to the whole Mainway team! I’ve lost 25kg thanks to Mainway and honestly I couldn’t be happier!
I have tried all sorts of gyms from budget gyms to premium health clubs and nowhere is quite like Mainway. I’ve never been able to shift the weight at these gyms but Mainway is different! It is the most welcoming friendly gym! The classes were fantastic for me when I was carrying weight all the exercises were friendly or adaptable for the ‘curvier’ person and now that I’m fitter I can really push my fitness in the classes! As well as this the gym floor is amazingly equip and is never too busy to do what you want! Honestly couldn’t recommend this gym enough!

So I decided to leave my old gym just before Xmas and after speaking to a few girls they recommended Mainway the place to be. I was nervous at first.
My first class was TRX & Kettlebells and I absolutely had no idea what on earth I was doing. Carl was brilliant and on hand to help guide me through the exercises etc, the atmosphere was incredible everyone was friendly and it didn’t have that “click” which was a winner. The only way I could walk down any stairs was backwards lol, I worked muscles that I didn’t even know I had. I was so fed up with my weight, sluggish and hated what I saw when I looked in the mirror. Eight months on and 1 stone 5lbs lighter, skin is feeling better, my mindset is definitely more focused and more than anything my fitness has improved massively. I couldn’t of done it without you guys. So If your looking for a gym that has supportive and enthusiastic instructors, a mix of classes (which not one I have done is the same) bouncing music and one hell of a gym then Mainy’s is the place to be.
